Basketball Game Preview: Cordova Lancers vs. Antelope Titans

Cordova is 0-3 against Antelope since January of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Cordova Lancers will look to defend their home court against the Antelope Titans at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cordova is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Monday. They received a blow as they fell 52-35 to Vista del Lago. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 957th, while the Eagles are ranked 397th).

Meanwhile, Antelope came up short against West Park on Friday and fell 60-52.

Cordova will need focus on slowing down Malichai Brown, one of several Antelope players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Brooks, who earned 12 points and three steals.

Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Cordova was taken down by Antelope 77-28 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brown, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points and five assists.
