Volleyball Recap: Waterloo Vikings vs. Springfield Tigers
Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Springfield Tigers. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
While Waterloo was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 25-17.
Kristlyn Kehrer paced Waterloo's offense, picking up seven kills. Kehrer got some help from Brilyn Eddy and her ten assists. Finally, Izzy McKenna kept Waterloo's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Springfield, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Waterloo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against McKinley on the 9th. As for Springfield, they will square off against Western Reserve at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
