Basketball Game Preview: Ninilchik Wolverines vs. Ketchikan Kings

The Ninilchik Wolverines and the Ketchikan Kings will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Ninilchik is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Dimond, who was ranked sixth at the time (Ninilchik was ranked seventh). Ninilchik took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dimond on Thursday. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ketchikan unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 57-48 to Grace Christian.

This is the second loss in a row for Ninilchik and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Ketchikan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
