Softball Recap: Sandusky Find Success

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Sandusky ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Brown City Green Devils 8-7. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 victory the Green Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Wendling, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Morgan Hooper was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sandusky is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Brown City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Coming up, Sandusky will challenge Reese at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brown City, they will be playing at home against Vassar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
