Softball Recap: Castaic Coyotes vs. Hart Hawks

Castaic extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 8-12 in the process. They came up short against the Hart Hawks, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 back in March.

Castaic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lulu Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

As for Hart, their record is now 8-15. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

On Hart's side, the team relied heavily on Sadie Curtis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Curtis has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Delgado, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Castaic will face off against rival Canyon at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hart is set to square off against their familiar foe West Ranch at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
