Baseball Recap: Tompkins Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Tompkins got themselves on the board against Hudson on Tuesday, but Hudson never followed suit. They won by a run and slipped past the Hudson Hornets 1-0. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Tompkins' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tompkins will take on Mayde Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mayde Creek has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.33 runs per game on average), something Tompkins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hudson, they will face off against Madisonville at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Hudson hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.
