It was a good run, but Alexandria-Monroe unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lapel Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Grace Wood and Daisy Bivens, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Adah Hollingsworth and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Alexandria-Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lapel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Alexandria-Monroe has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on the 13th. As for Lapel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Columbus East on the 13th.
