East Bay waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Gaither Cowboys. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2021.

Mike Mowell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

On the hitting side, Ethan Cunningham was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

East Bay's record now sits at 7-5. As for Gaither, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Coincidentally, East Bay and Gaither will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the field. East Bay will head out to face Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Gaither will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
