Recap: Santaluces Chiefs vs. Atlantic Eagles
The Santaluces Chiefs lost against the Atlantic Eagles back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Santaluces took a 44-28 bruising from Atlantic. Santaluces has struggled against Atlantic recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Atlantic can attribute much of their success to Lincoln Graf, who threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Jadarius Patterson was in the mix too, providing Atlantic with two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Atlantic's defense and their six sacks. Marlon Huff was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Santaluces' loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Atlantic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santaluces will take on Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Palm Beach Gardens is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Atlantic, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (West Boca Raton is ranked 59th, while Atlantic is ranked 61st).
