Maclay extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Lauren Guyer. The Maclay Marauders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers on Saturday thanks in part to Guyer, who went 10 for 24 en route to 28 points and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Maclay's points.

When it comes to explaining why North Bay Haven Academy lost, don't look at Kaylee Goodpaster. Despite the final result, she went 12 of 25 to rack up 34 points along with five boards and four steals. The match was Goodpaster's sixth in a row with at least 20 points.

Maclay's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for North Bay Haven Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Maclay has already played their next contest, a 43-16 loss against Rocky Bayou Christian on the 7th. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-42 defeat against Pensacola Catholic on the 4th.
