Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Gibson). They walked away with a 54-41 win over the Crystal Springs Tigers on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Waves also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Port Gibson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremy Brandon Jr., who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown. Kejaylen Edwards also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Port Gibson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 440 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Port Gibson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Crystal Springs, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
