It was a proper cat-fight when Fruita Monument duked it out with Grand Junction on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 22-25, 25-11, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Kaleigh Klouzek, who had ten digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Fruita Monument was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Grand Junction still got an impressive performance from Norah Gruwell, who had 21 digs and four aces.

Fruita Monument's record now sits at 4-2. As for Grand Junction, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Fruita Monument will take on Montrose at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Grand Junction, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Roaring Fork on the 11th.
