Basketball Recap: Paideia Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

After losing to Mount Vernon the last time they met, Paideia decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Paideia Pythons came out on top against the Mount Vernon Mustangs by a score of 55-48 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pythons.

Paideia pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Mount Vernon, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-9.

Paideia and Mount Vernon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Paideia will face off against Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 219 places (178 vs. 397). Meanwhile, Mount Vernon (ranked 195th) will meet Fellowship Christian (ranked 407th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
