Volleyball Recap: Plainview-Elgin-Millville's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

There's no place like home for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Medford Tigers on Monday. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 14, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

One reason for the win was Plainview-Elgin-Millville's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-10.

Hadlie Eidenschink paced Plainview-Elgin-Millville's offense, picking up nine kills. Eidenschink got some help from Laney Gusa and her 22 assists. Willow Tlougan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville moved to 7-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak. As for Medford, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Plainview-Elgin-Millville and Medford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 217th) will meet Dover-Eyota (ranked 93rd) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Medford will challenge Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (280 vs. 92).
