Recap: Alhambra Bulldogs vs. California Grizzlies
After flying high against the Antioch Panthers on Friday, the Alhambra Bulldogs came back down to earth. Alhambra lost to California on the road by a decisive 63-48 margin on Monday. Alhambra was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as California apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.
Despite the loss, Alhambra still got an impressive performance from Jaimison Krause, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Samuel Gillaspy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
California's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was BRAYDE KUYKENDALL, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was ARMAN MARTIN, who scored 13 points.
Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for California, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Alhambra will head out on the road to face off against Benicia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Benicia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Alhambra likes a good challenge. California won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Amador Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Amador Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
