Basketball Recap: Lakeside Christian Comes Up Short

Lakeside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Northside Christian Mustangs, falling 82-8. The Lions lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 48-21 score last time.

Lakeside Christian got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Mel Franco and Ayva David, who each put up three points.

Lakeside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northside Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Lakeside Christian is taking a road trip to take on Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northside Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m.
