Basketball Preview: Louisburg Wildcats vs. Tonganoxie Chieftains
The Louisburg Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Tonganoxie Chieftains on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Louisburg came up short against the Cyclones and fell 62-52. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Louisburg in their matchups with the Cyclones: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Tonganoxie also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to the Braves by a score of 58-47.
Louisburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Tonganoxie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Louisburg came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chieftains when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 53-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Louisburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
