Basketball Recap: Webster City Takes a Loss

If Webster City was feeling good fresh off their 50-17 takedown of Hampton-Dumont/CAL last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Webster City Lynx took a hard 56-40 fall against the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets on Tuesday. The Lynx were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cadets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Webster City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Iowa Falls-Alden, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2.

Webster City will be home for the holidays to greet Algona at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Iowa Falls-Alden and Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS will compete for holiday cheer at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
