Volleyball Recap: South Adams Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

South Adams had won three straight on the road, but on Thursday they bumped up to 5-0 to make it four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Winchester Community Golden Falcons. The Starfires have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Falcons, too.

Reagan Bollenbacher paced South Adams' offense, picking up 11 kills. Bollenbacher got some help from Laney Trausch and her 21 assists. Finally, Avery Brown and Ana Lehman kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Winchester Community fell to 3-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Winchester Community lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lydia Huston, who had 11 digs and eight assists.

South Adams has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Rochester on the 23rd. As for Winchester Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Randolph Southern on the 23rd.
