Volleyball Recap: Reedley Takes a Loss

Reedley and Nipomo squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Reedley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Reedley took Nipomo into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Reedley still got an impressive performance from Jose Castaneda-Valle, who had 18 digs and one assist. Castaneda-Valle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Reedley's loss dropped their record down to 23-14. As for Nipomo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-14.

Reedley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nipomo, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Righetti on the 13th.
