Basketball Game Preview: SS Seward vs. Monticello Panthers

SS Seward are taking a road trip to face off against the Monticello Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. SS Seward will be strutting in after a victory while Monticello will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, SS Seward earned a 42-29 win over Eldred. SS Seward hasn't had any issues with Eldred recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 50-9 loss at the hands of Warwick. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 706th, while the Wildcats are ranked 81st).

SS Seward's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Monticello, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

SS Seward took their victory against Monticello when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 46-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for SS Seward since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
