Basketball Recap: Yerba Buena Takes a Loss

Yerba Buena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 59-47 to the San Jose Bulldogs. The Aztec Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 59-45.

When it comes to explaining why Yerba Buena lost, don't look at Brandon Tran. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Pimental, who scored eight points.

Yerba Buena's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for San Jose, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 2-20.

Looking ahead, Yerba Buena will face off against Del Mar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Jose, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-37 loss against Hill on the 14th.
