Baseball Game Preview: Presidio Blue Devils vs. Tornillo Coyotes

Presidio is 2-8 against Tornillo since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Presidio will venture away from home to face off against Tornillo at 4:00 p.m. Tornillo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Presidio, who comes in off a win.

Presidio made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Alpine, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Presidio put the hurt on Alpine with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Tornillo and Anthony have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. Tornillo took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anthony.

Jeter Luna was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Abraham Quesada was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Presidio and bumps their season record up to 3-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Tornillo, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
