Volleyball Recap: Narbonne Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gardena last Wednesday, Narbonne came back down to earth. The Gauchos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Banning Pilots on Monday. The Gauchos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pilots earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Narbonne was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Banning work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 12-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Narbonne has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Banning, their win bumped their record up to 6-17.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Narbonne will challenge rival Rancho Dominguez at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Banning is set to square off against their familiar foe Gardena at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
