Softball Recap: Exeter Victorious

Exeter won the last time they faced Minarets and things went their way on Saturday too. Exeter came out on top against Minarets by a score of 9-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Monarchs.

Lanie Uruchurtu was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Avery Hupp was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Exeter's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Minarets, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Exeter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Mariposa County on the 22nd. As for Minarets, they will take on Caruthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
