Softball Recap: McLean County Takes a Loss

McLean County fell victim to Hancock County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly 15 runs.

McLean County dropped their record down to 0-4-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hancock County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

McLean County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity at 7:15 p.m. on April 7. As for Hancock County, they will head out on the road to take on South Laurel at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. South Laurel's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Hancock County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
