Volleyball Recap: Dothan Falls Despite Big Games from Kerigan Freeman and Ella Brown

Dothan lost against Andalusia back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Dothan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ella Brown, who had 12 digs and 11 kills, and Kerigan Freeman, who had 17 assists and eight digs. Brown is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brantlee McCarthy, who had five kills and two aces.

Dothan's defeat dropped their record down to 25-13. As for Andalusia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Dothan has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Straughn on the 7th. As for Andalusia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Kinston on the 4th.
