Softball Recap: Kealakehe Waveriders vs. Waiakea Warriors
Kealakehe put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Waiakea Warriors as the Kealakehe Waveriders made off with an 18-12 win. The result was nothing new for Kealakehe, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Rihanna Joaquin, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Polimino, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Kealakehe's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Waiakea, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
As of now, neither Kealakehe nor Waiakea have any future games scheduled.
