Basketball Game Preview: Marengo Indians vs. Stillman Valley Cardinals

Marengo hasn't had much luck against Stillman Valley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Marengo Indians will head out to challenge the Stillman Valley Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Marengo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last six games.

On Saturday, Marengo beat Genoa-Kingston 58-45. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly 13 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Stillman Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 38-34 victory over Dixon last Saturday.

Stillman Valley's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-1. As for Marengo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Marengo couldn't quite finish off Stillman Valley in their previous meeting back in January and fell 51-48. Can Marengo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
