Basketball Recap: St. Pius X Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Braunfels Christian Academy on Thursday, St. Pius X came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Lake Country Christian Eagles on Friday, falling 62-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 48-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

St. Pius X has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Lake Country Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, St. Pius X won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Brentwood Christian at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Country Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-50 win against Hyde Park on the 5th.
