Basketball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hatton/Northwood Thunder. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hatton/Northwood, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Richland will face off against Sisseton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Richland is facing Sisseton at the right time seeing as Sisseton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hatton/Northwood, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
