Despite the loss, Au Gres-Sims saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sophie Fox dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Fox is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Au Gres-Sims smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, a win for Fairview just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by Rogers City 46-7.
