Softball Game Preview: Marion Swamp Foxes vs. East Clarendon Wolverines

The Marion Swamp Foxes are taking a road trip to square off against the East Clarendon Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

East Clarendon hit Marion with a six-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Swamp Foxes lost 13-5 to the Wolverines. It was the first time this season that the Swamp Foxes let down their fans at home.

Sheteira Bethea made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jashaya Page, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

East Clarendon's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
