Volleyball Game Preview: New Lothrop Hornets vs. Garber Dukes

The New Lothrop Hornets will square off against the Garber Dukes on Saturday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: New Lothrop has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Garber will arrive with three straight wins.

New Lothrop lost 3-0 to Ovid-Elsie on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-16.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Garber and Frankenmuth, and Garber kept the tradition alive. The Dukes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eagles on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dukes have posted against the Eagles since September 20, 2017.

Garber's victory bumped their record up to 27-9-2. As for New Lothrop, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15-3.
