Softball Recap: Central Hardin Comes Up Short

Central Hardin dropped their record down to 23-15 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bruins have suffered since March 14, 2024.

As for Bethlehem, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-16 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch.

For Bethlehem's part, Emmalee Hettinger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. Hettinger has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bethlehem's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Luckett, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Paige Miller was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither Central Hardin nor Bethlehem have any future games scheduled.
