Recap: Oakland Wildcats vs. McClymonds Warriors
The Oakland Wildcats waltzed into their contest Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over McClymonds. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oakland also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Oakland found their leader in underclassman Rohm Neal, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Neal scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Johnson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Oakland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for McClymonds, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 631st, while Oakland is ranked 148th). As for McClymonds, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
