Basketball Recap: Garden Valley Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Garden Valley's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 45-38 victory over the Victory Charter Vipers. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vipers, too.

Libby Stockett and Mikayla Zink certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Stockett posted 16 points and eight boards, while Zink had 16 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Stockett a new career-high in points.

Garden Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Victory Charter, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Garden Valley will face off against Idaho City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Victory Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 30-16 loss against Wilder on the 7th.
