Baseball Recap: Bound Brook Comes Up Short

Bound Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 22-1 to the Voorhees Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-0 defeat on Tuesday.

Bound Brook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Coleman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Manny Vasquez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bound Brook's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Voorhees, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Bound Brook will take on Princeton Day at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Voorhees, they will challenge North Hunterdon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Lions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
