Basketball Recap: San Jose Prep Storm vs. University Christian Christians

San Jose Prep and University Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but San Jose Prep had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 79-50 loss at the hands of the University Christian Christians. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Christians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Adalbert Allotey was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds for University Christian. Allotey is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 20 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Duncan, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

San Jose Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for University Christian, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

San Jose Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. University Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
