Volleyball Recap: Ithaca's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Ithaca was the 3-1 winner over Corning-Painted Post when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Little Red fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Little Red's undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ithaca fell to 4-1. As for Corning-Painted Post, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-1 record this season.

Ithaca will head out on the road to take on Maine-Endwell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corning-Painted Post, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Vestal on the 27th.
