Baseball Recap: Gueydan Takes a Loss

Gueydan lost against Franklin on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gueydan Bears might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Franklin Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gueydan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Perrin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Gueydan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Franklin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Gueydan will take on V.B. Glencoe Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they are taking a road trip to take on Ascension Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is facing Ascension Catholic at the right time seeing as Ascension Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
