Softball Preview: Olympia Bears vs. South Kitsap Wolves

The Olympia Bears will head out on the road to square off against the South Kitsap Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Olympia needed a bit of extra time to put away Sumner. They had just enough and edged the Spartans out 4-3. The win was nothing new for Olympia as they're now sitting on four straight.

Sami Potvin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over nine innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Potvin has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Potvin was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
