Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man) recap November 5, 2013

Kiowa County added to the longest winning streak in Southern Plains-Iroquois (8 Man) this week by beating St. John, 48-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Mavericks.

Spearville took down Minneola 58-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nathan Stein threw for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 75 yards during the win.

The Lancers' dynamic duo of Stein and Luke Heskamp proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hunter Stephenson helped Spearville's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 48 yards.

Stetsen Underwood provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Central topped Windsor Hills Baptist. He completed 5 passes for 76 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 191 yards.

Trever Powell was a force in the backfield as Kiowa County bested the Tigers.

Fowler's Taylin Bird and Ty Clark led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Bird has thrown for 1,248 yards this season, while Clark has 56 catches for 909 yards. Clint Young's team's Powell leads the league in rushing yards with 1,962.

So far this year, he has acheived 56 catches for 909 yards.

In 117 carries Stein has put up 992 yards this year.
