Basketball Game Preview: Dyersburg Trojans vs. Dyer County Choctaws

Dyersburg and Dyer County are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The Dyersburg Trojans will head out to challenge the Dyer County Choctaws at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dyersburg will be strutting in after a victory while Dyer County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Dyersburg didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Crockett County, but they still walked away with a 72-68 win.

Meanwhile, Dyer County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Gibson.

Dyersburg now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Dyer County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Dyersburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Dyer County in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 63-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dyersburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
