Basketball Recap: Raines Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Raines can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-38 victory over the Pine Ridge Panthers.

Raines got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jesus Rice out in front who went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaal Carr, who posted ten points.

Raines' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Pine Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Raines didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-67 defeat against Andrew Jackson on the 27th. As for Pine Ridge, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tocoi Creek at 1:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Tocoi Creek will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Pine Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
