Basketball Recap: Blair County Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bedford County CIA

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blair County Christian). They blew past the Bedford County CIA Agents 63-34 on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Blair County Christian was led to victory by Jonathan Marucci and Aidyn Lundy. Marucci dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds, while Lundy posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Marucci is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Malachi Teis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Blair County Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bedford County CIA only posted one assist.

Bedford County CIA's loss came despite strong showings from Silas Gorczyca and Josiah Gorczyca. Silas dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Josiah went 7-for-12 on his way to 16 points and four steals. That was a full 47.1% of Bedford County CIA's points, marking the third time in a row Josiah has had more than a third of the team's points.

Blair County Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points over those games. As for Bedford County CIA, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
