Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Warriors vs. Tygarts Valley Bulldogs

The Trinity Christian Warriors and the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian is looking for their season's first win.

Last Friday, Trinity Christian ended up a good deal behind Notre Dame and lost 69-52. The Warriors were down 59-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Harlen Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Lewis, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Tygarts Valley's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They were dealt a 77-47 defeat at the hands of Tucker County. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Trinity Christian will have to keep a close watch on Kaden Moore and Jacob Wamsley, a pair of players who had a big impact on Tygarts Valley's prior game. Moore put up ten points and six rebounds, while Wamsley went 6 of 12 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Harris, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tygarts Valley fell to 3-1. As for Trinity Christian, their record now sits at 0-5.

Everything went Trinity Christian's way against Tygarts Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2017, as Trinity Christian made off with a 76-51 victory. Will Trinity Christian repeat their success, or does Tygarts Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
