Preview: Johnson Jaguars vs. Bowie Bulldogs
Johnson is 0-3 against Bowie since December of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Johnson Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Bowie Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Johnson is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
On Tuesday, things could have been worse for Johnson, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-38 loss to Austin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Johnson in their matchups with Austin: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Bowie put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Austin as Bowie made off with a 64-39 win. Winning may never get old, but Bowie sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Johnson now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Bowie, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Johnson came up short against Bowie when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 48-43. Can Johnson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
