Basketball Recap: Woodgrove Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodgrove). They walked away with an 85-72 win over the Broad Run Spartans on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolverines sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Woodgrove pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Broad Run, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Woodgrove and Broad Run should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Woodgrove will take on John Champe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 265 places (34 vs. 299). Meanwhile, Broad Run (ranked 53rd) will meet Westfield (ranked 209th) at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
