D6 District 4 (6 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

A Season-Best Performance from Kreyton Wiese Leads Wauneta-Palisade over Southwest

Sadly, Kreyton Wiese posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Wauneta-Palisade over Southwest on Friday. Wiese rushed for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (114.8). He is becoming a predictor of Wauneta-Palisade's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Wauneta-Palisade is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Wiese and Wauneta-Palisade will face off against Wallace at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Maddox Jones and Co. Win 18th in a Row

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Maddox Jones. Jones was unstoppable, rushing for 103 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.

Unfortunately for Paxton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jones. Jones rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Southwest took down Wauneta-Palisade on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Jacob Barber's effort. Barber did his part (and then some), rushing for 64 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 94 receiving yards for the 'W'.

This year, Barber has averaged 33.8 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 77.5 rushing yards.

Jordan Scoville's Big Game Leads Sumner-Eddyville-Miller over Paxton

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jordan Scoville. Scoville was unstoppable, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.

Scoville must have Paxton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Scoville saw the Tigers), he rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.

Big Game from Billeter As Southwest Won 41-39

The second Southwest player making an appearance here is Houston Billeter, and for good reason. He threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

For the year, Billeter has thrown 26 touchdowns while averaging 276.5 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had seven passing touchdowns.
